Aphid Arteria: Principium
Aphid Arteria: Principium is an illustrative project designed to introduce the three main characters of the Aphid Arteria series while also offering a glimpse into the world they inhabit. Serving as the foundational entry point for the larger Aphid Arteria project, Principium allows viewers to become acquainted with these distinct personalities and their environment. The primary goal of this thesis is to engage various processes involved in conceptual character design and development, ultimately working toward a polished final product. Through extensive research and the application of techniques used by professional character designers, this project creates compelling visual representations that demonstrate the knowledge and principles behind the design process. What remains from these efforts is a strong introduction to the series, along with visual material that will support further development of the characters and world.
