Leslie Hernandez is earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. Her thesis consists of four oil on canvas paintings, sized 36 in. x 48 in (91.4 cm 121.9 cm.) in the Dishman Art Museum at 快色视频. The artwork in this series reflects the profound impact of my mother's struggles with mental health issues and thyroid disorder. It depicts the challenging experiences she faced, including noticeable hair loss, numerous medical prescriptions, and strict dietary limitations. My own mental health and thyroid issues were deeply affected by her passing. This thesis also explores common thyroid disease symptoms, such as brain fog and confusion, alongside mental health struggles related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Through this series of oil paintings, this project aims to examine both the causes of struggles and the sources of healing. The paintings visually convey the emotional and physical battles associated with mental health and thyroid disorders, offering a relatable, impactful portrayal that allows viewers to better understand and empathize with these complex conditions.
