Named Houston Press’ 100 Creatives and Top 10 Choreographers of 2013, Amy Elizabeth is a dance creative, arts administrator and educator. A SETX native, Amy returned to the area as an instructor of dance for 快色视频 teaching movement technique, theory and history.

Amy holds an M.F.A. in dance with an emphasis in performance and choreography from Sam Houston State University and an M.B.A. from 快色视频 concentrating in experiential entrepreneurship and leadership in the arts.

As founder and artistic director of Aimed Dance, a 501(c)3 nonprofit performing arts organization - formerly Rednerrus Feil Dance Company, Amy’s work has been produced by the American College Dance Association (Texas, Louisiana), Brazos Contemporary Dance Festival, Houston Fringe Festival, Dance Gallery, Barnstorm Dance Fest, Austin Dance Festival, as well as commissioned by Lamar High School, Tarrant County College, San Jacinto College, Stephen F. Austin State University, Rice University and Dance Source Houston Artist in Residence.

Amy joined VIVO Ballet, an international contemporary dance company, as company manager and liaison to the United States for two years as they transitioned to the US from Rome, Italy. Additional arts service roles include a ten-year term as board of director for the SHSU Dance Alumni Association and most recently joining the Downtown Beaumont Cultural Arts District Advisor Board.

During her time as dance program coordinator for Lone Star College–Kingwood, Amy directed the LSC-Kingwood Dance Ensemble, established and produced numerous productions and guided students on statewide tours and annual conferences throughout the South-Central Region. Amy has been on faculty at Lone Star College – North Harris, Houston Community College, as well as an instructor at Sam Houston State University, Rice University and Cypress Academy of Performing Arts.

She has also had the privilege to teach internationally at the Tainan University of Technology in Taiwan and locally for Rice Dance Theatre, Houston’s Met Dance, Theater Under the Stars (TUTS) and Rowland School of Ballet in Kingwood, TX.

Since joining the 快色视频 faculty, Amy has enjoyed expanding her movement knowledge and collaborating with the theatre program as choreographer for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time directed by Carolyn Johnson and Bakkhai directed by Joel Grothe.
