The Reaud Honors College empowers you to excel in academics, as a leader, and through contributions to your community. Any outstanding accomplishments you achieve are honorable in themselves. Yet you should also take advantage of opportunities where you can inform others about your accomplishments.
I did, and as a result, I earned one of two awards given annually from across the 13 campuses in the Texas State University System. As the 2023 Regents’ Student Scholar, I received $5,000 toward my educational expenses, a proclamation signed by the TSUS Board of Regents, and a commemorative medallion.
I am very appreciative of 快色视频 and the Reaud Honors College for helping me shape a competitive profile that earned me this prestigious honor. A couple of key experiences have carved out my path as a premedical student. The summer after my freshman year, I applied for and received a $1,000 Office of Undergraduate Research travel grant to intern at the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine in Dallas, Texas. The following summer, I was honored to receive the $10,000 David J. Beck Fellowship. I traveled to the University of Ottawa in Canada to research Autophagy Receptors in cancer cells.
Along this journey, I've connected with Honors College alumni in the medical and healthcare fields, gaining valuable insights. The support from my Honors upperclassmen is priceless. The opportunities both on and off campus over the past three years have fueled my journey toward my dream of becoming a physician.
I encourage you to consider applying for the TSUS Student Scholar Award. By staying engaged in class, being proactive in extracurriculars, and boldly seeking out opportunities, you can position yourself as a competitive applicant for this and other awards. I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing about your exciting experiences in your Reaud Honors College journey.
Sincerely,
Zaid Mohammed
