FlorenceCardinal Adventures is a program of the Office of Alumni Affairs, providing alumni and friends with opportunities to travel together to unique and engaging destinations.  There is always an educational component included enabling participants to learn about the life and culture of the people and places visited from expert guides and lecturers that call each area home. Cardinal Adventure’s travel partner, AHI Travel, shares the belief that travel involves more than a ticket and a passport.  It should weave together discovery, education and humanity, the best elements of any compelling tale.

Trips with Cardinal Adventures are first class and full service - eliminating all of the logistical worries of travel.  Each trip is accompanied by a multilingual Travel Director who is there to take care of every last detail. Everything is preplanned in advance so guests do not have to worry themselves with extensive research of activities or hotels, normally the least fun aspect of travel.  And when those inevitable last minute changes are needed, someone is there to take care of the rescheduling and rearranging so that participants are free to immerse themselves in their surroundings and let go of any concerns.

FlorenceThere are two general types of travel offered, to fit each individual’s preferential travel style.  Hub and Spoke itineraries generally stay in one central destination, and take day trips out to different sites and activities. River cruises also offer this type of “unpack one time” type of travel experience.  Or, some travelers prefer to spend a couple of nights in several different locales in order to immerse themselves in each destination.  Both styles of travel offer the same attention to detail and once in a lifetime experiences.
