CICE hosts international conference

CO2 Conference AttendeesTen nations were represented at the 2nd International Workshop on Offshore Geologic CO2 Storage held June 19-20 at ¿ìÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Center for Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship. 

The workshop, hosted by ¿ìÉ«ÊÓƵ and University of Texas Geosciences, included sessions on finding offshore storage, monitoring, environmental and overburden monitoring, offshore assessment, and more.

In addition to sharing scientific papers and posters, more than 60 scientists from around the world presented the latest information on CO2 geologic storage.

Carbon Capture speakerThe conference was to have been followed by a CO2 Capture and Subsurface Geologic Storage Open House on Wednesday, however the approach of Tropical Storm Cindy led to its being canceled.
