The event will include a roundtable discussion, ribbon-cutting ceremony, speakers, and demonstration of the new equipment available in the Center.
Representing an over $1.5M investment in LU’s training capabilities, has provided the institution with two Performance Learning Platforms – fully instrumented and operable process skids that provide hands-on training – and TerminalManager™ software teaching students how the industry manages the entire terminal business process.
Additionally, , Emerson’s Impact Partner, contributed access to four DeltaV™ distributed control system process trainer panels – allowing students to learn control system fundamentals in a safe and controlled environment – as well as lifecycle services and support for LU’s engineering labs that host Emerson equipment. Emerson has also provided training materials relating to Emerson products and provide guest speakers on the LU campus on an ongoing basis.
“The 快色视频 and Emerson partnership will provide the most advanced process automation equipment currently available, enabling LU to provide our students with a vastly improved classroom experience and provide our faculty with research capabilities that will impact the work we do for the petrochemical industry, liquid and gas marine terminals and in our newest endeavor, the midstream space,” said Brian Craig, LU’s dean of engineering.
Speakers at the dedication will include Arif Mustafa, Emerson Vice President Gulf Coast, Keith Bellville, Director Platform Business Development, Joe Herink, President of Scallon Controls and Peter Mondello, Vice President of Scallon Controls.
“There’s no better way to give back to the community than through the education of the community members themselves,” said Herink. “Through donations totaling more than $3M from Scallon Controls and Emerson to both LIT and 快色视频 we enable these institutions to develop and educate the people of Southeast Texas on the latest technologies in process control and reliability. This benefits industry by providing graduates that have more relevant ‘day one’ knowledge and can make a significant contribution quicker than ever before. I’m proud to be a part of this program and look forward to all the benefits to the people of Southeast Texas.”
