Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

This grant assists undergraduates students with exceptional financial need (determined by the FAFSA), and gives priority to students who receive Federal Pell Grants and have the greatest demonstrated financial need. Funds are limited so those who apply early have the greatest opportunity for an award.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Meet the
  • Pell eligible (students who are no longer eligible for pell due to reaching their Pell lifetime eligibility limit are not eligible)
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours in an eligible program.  Only courses required for your program of study will be used to determine your financial aid enrollment status (Beginning with the 2020-2021 Freshman class must be enrolled full-time to receive a disbursement of these funds.)
  • Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Amount

The maximum amount a student may receive is $4000 per academic year

Disbursement (Payment)

  • Money is applied to a student's account once a semester
  • Disbursements begin 10 days before the student's first class
  • The disbursed amount is prorated based on financial aid hours of enrollment, however, amounts may be different based on need.
    • Full-Time/ 12 or more hours - $4,000 (annual) 
    • Three Quarter-Time/ 9-11 hours - $3,000 (annual) 
    • Half-Time/ 6-8 hours - $2000 (annual) 
    • Less than half-time/less than 6 not eligible for a disbursement
